3. Scheduling Information

  • Team routes are built around getting drivers home weekly.
  • Dispatch will contact you directly with your next assignment — keep your phone reachable while on duty.
  • To request time off or report a schedule conflict, call dispatch as early as possible — [CONFIRM: how many days' notice is required].
  • Hours of service are tracked via Motive ELD — drive within your available hours at all times (see Section 6).

6. Motive / Hours of Service (HOS)

Every Newman Industries truck runs Motive for electronic logging (ELD) and dash cam coverage.

  • Download the Motive Driver app and log in with the credentials provided at orientation — [CONFIRM: company ID / login process].
  • Log on duty before pre-trip and stay logged accurately all shift — your ELD record is your legal HOS record.
  • Federal HOS limits: 11-hour driving limit, 14-hour on-duty window, 10 consecutive hours off duty, 30-minute break after 8 cumulative hours of driving, and 60/70-hour limit over 7/8 days.
  • If your ELD malfunctions or won't log you on, call [CONFIRM — safety/dispatch number] immediately and switch to paper logs per FMCSA rules until it's resolved.

7. Safety Scoring

Motive tracks driving events — hard braking, speeding, following distance, and dash cam-flagged incidents — and rolls them into a per-driver safety score.

  • You can view your own safety score and flagged events in the Motive Driver app — [CONFIRM: exact steps/screen].
  • Score thresholds and what they affect (bonus eligibility, coaching, route assignment): [CONFIRM]
  • To dispute a flagged event you believe is inaccurate, contact [CONFIRM — safety contact] with the date/time of the event.
  • Repeated critical events (hard braking, following distance) will trigger a coaching conversation, not automatic discipline — [CONFIRM this matches your actual policy].
Heads up on this page's security: this access code is a light gate to keep the page out of casual view — it is not real authentication, and the page content is technically visible to anyone who inspects the site's source. Keep everything here general-reference only. Do not post actual pay stubs, bank/routing numbers, SSNs, or anyone's individual driving/safety records on this page.
